To add or modify properties of AD objects:
Using Adaxes Administration Console
To update AD object properties using the Result Pane:
Launch the Adaxes Administration Console.
In the Console Tree, expand the service node that contains the object, properties of which you want to change (the
icon represents service nodes).

Active Directory /
<domain>.
Select the AD object you need.
In the Result Pane, where the object children and properties are displayed, right-click the property you want to change.
To modify the value of the selected property, select Modify Value, specify a new value, and press Enter or click OK.
To delete the value of the selected property, click Delete.
To update AD object properties using Property Pages:
Launch the Adaxes Administration Console.
In the Console Tree, expand the service node that contains the object, properties of which you want to change (the
icon represents service nodes).

Active Directory /
<domain>.
Right-click the object you need and select Properties from the context menu.
In the Properties dialog box, change the properties as you need.

| If the user interface controls for a property are disabled, you do not have permissions to change this property. |
Click OK.
To add or modify properties using Add/Modify Property Wizard:
Launch the Adaxes Administration Console.
In the Console Tree, expand the service node that contains the objects, properties of which you want to change (the
icon represents service nodes).
Expand
Active Directory /
<domain>.
Select the objects you need, right-click, and select
Add/Modify Property... from the context menu.

| To update properties of AD objects from different locations, you can use the Basket. Also you can update properties of multiple AD objects displayed in the results of directory search. |
In the Add or Modify Property Wizard that starts, select the property you want to add or modify.

| If you add or modify the property for one AD object only, you can use the Hide existing check box to hide properties that have already been specified for this object. |
Click Next.
Specify the value for the selected property.

| If you want to add or modify several properties, select the Don't close the wizard after the property has been updated check box. |
Click Finish. All the selected objects will be updated.

Using Adaxes Web InterfaceLog in to the Adaxes Web Interface.
Click the Browsing tab in the top navigation menu.
Click the domain that contains the object, properties of which you want to change, and then select this object.
-or-
Click Browse above the list of managed domains, select the container in which the object you need is located, and then click this object in the list displayed.
Click Edit in the header panel command menu.

At the page that opens, update the properties you need.
