To reset a user password:
Using Adaxes Administration Console
Launch the Adaxes Administration Console.
In the Console Tree, expand your service node (the
icon represents service nodes).
Expand
Active Directory /
<domain>.
Right-click the user you need, point to All Tasks, and select Reset Password in the context menu.
Type and retype the new password of the user.

| If you reset password for several users at once, you can create a unique password for each user using templates. To do so, you need to select the Generate password using template radio button and enter a password template. To make password unique for every user, you can insert value references in a template. For example, if you specify the '%username%' template, passwords for all users will be set to the value of their logon name. For details on how to use value references, see Insert Value Reference Dialog. |

| Click Generate to create a complex random password that is highly secure and difficult to crack. Use Spell Out button to spell out the generated password using words. |

| Click View Password Policy to check password restrictions effective for the user account, for which you are resetting password. |
If necessary, change password options.
Click OK.
Using Adaxes Web InterfaceLog in to the Adaxes Web Interface.
Click the Browsing tab in the top navigation menu.
Click the domain that contains the user, the password of which you want to reset, and then select this user.
-or-
Click Browse above the list of managed domains, select the container in which the user you need is located, and then click this user in the list displayed.
At the page that opens, click Reset Password in the header panel command menu.

In the New password and Confirmation fields type and retype the new user password.

Select the appropriate check boxes to specify password options.
Click the Reset button.
