With the help of Scheduled Tasks you can define operations to be performed automatically on a schedule.
To create a Scheduled Task:
Launch the Adaxes Administration Console.
In the Console Tree, expand the service node you need (the
icon represents service nodes).
Right-click any object under the expanded service node, point to New, and then
click
Scheduled Task.

on the toolbar.
In the Scheduled Task Creation wizard that starts, type a name and specify optional description for the new Scheduled Task. Click Next.
In the Task Schedule page, specify how often the Scheduled Task will be performed.
One time - select if you want the Scheduled Task to be executed only once at the date and time you specify. Select the date and time of the execution. If you are not going to use this Scheduled Task again, check Delete the task after its execution.
Hourly - select if you want the Scheduled Task to be executed every hour or every several hours. Specify in how many hours the task will repeat.
Daily - select if you want the Scheduled Task to be executed every day or very several days. Specify in how many day and at what time the task will repeat.
Weekly - select if you want the Scheduled Task to be executed every week. Specify the day of the week and time of the task execution.
Monthly - select if you want the Scheduled Task to be executed every month. Specify the day of the month and time of the task execution.
Click Next.
In the Object Type page, select the type of objects, on which the new Scheduled Task will be executed. Click Next.

If you select the User object type, you can select if this Scheduled Task will be available for InetOrgPersons too. To do so, select the Perform on InetOrgPerson as well check box below. |
In the Actions page, click Add Action and select an action that will take place when the Scheduled Task is executed.
Define the appropriate action parameters and execution options. If you want this action to be sent for approval when this Scheduled Task is executed, check Get approval for this action and specify the users and groups that will be able to approve or deny this action. Click OK.

To add actions and conditions to the created set, select the set and click the
Add Condition or the
Add Action icon.

Right-click the created set and select Add Action or Add Condition from the context menu.

If you create more than one condition, they are combined by the AND/OR operator. To change an operator, just click it. |

To edit an action or condition, right-click it and select Edit Action or Edit Condition from the context menu. |
To create a new set of actions and conditions, click Add action to a new set below.
Click Next.
In the Activity Scope page, click Add and specify the objects, on which this Scheduled Task will be executed. For example, if you specify an OU here, the Scheduled Task will be executed on all objects of the relevant type that are located in this OU.

You can also exclude certain objects from the activity scope. To do so, select the object you want to exclude, click Add, then check Exclude the selection in the Assignment Options dialog box. |

To find a specific object, you can type its name or several starting characters of it in the edit box, located right above the search results list. |

To search in a certain managed domain, or specify a Business Unit as an Activity Scope item, select the corresponding object in the Look in combo-box. |

If the object types you need are not displayed, click Object Types below the search results list, and check the object types to search for. |
Select the required object, click Add, then define the Assignment Options and click OK two times.
Click Finish.

It is not necessary to select the Scheduled Task container in the Console Tree to create a Scheduled Task. Just right-click any object in the Console Tree or Results Pane, when connected to the service, then point to New, and click Scheduled Task. |

You can group Scheduled Tasks in containers. To do so, right-click the Scheduled Tasks container in the Console Tree, point to New, and click Container. To create a Scheduled Task in a certain container, select the container in the Console Tree, right-click it, then point to New, and click Scheduled Task. |
