Create Additional Web Interface Sites
Softerra Adaxes enables you to deploy any number of Active Directory Web Interface sites, with each site having its own configuration settings. Using the Adaxes setup wizard, you can install only three instances of the Web Interface - for Administrators, Help Desk, and Self-Service. If these three Web Interfaces are not sufficient to meet all your needs, you can create additional instances of the Web Interface manually.
In this tutorial, you will learn how to create a new instance of Adaxes Web Interface and configure IIS web site for the new Web Interface in IIS 7.5.
Copy files of the existing Web Interface site to a new folder. By default, Adaxes Web Interface sites are installed in the following folders:
- Administrators:
C:\Program Files\Softerra\Adaxes 3\Web Interface\Admin\ - Help Desk:
C:\Program Files\Softerra\Adaxes 3\Web Interface\HelpDesk\ - Self-Service:
C:\Program Files\Softerra\Adaxes 3\Web Interface\SelfService\
For example, if you want to create a new Web Interface site for auditors with initial configuration settings of the Web Interface for Administrators, copy the Admin folder and rename it to Auditors.

Configure the Web Site
Launch the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.

Right-click the Web Site you need and select Add Application from context menu.
- In the Alias field, specify an alias that will be used to gain access to the Web site.
- In the Physical path field, specify the path to the folder you have created on the previous step.
- Click OK.

To open the Web Interface, right-click the newly created application, click Manage Application, and then click Browse.

Configure the Web Interface
Start the Web Interface Customization tool.

Select the newly created Web Interface site in the Interface type drop-down list.
Perform necessary configuration changes. For more information on how to customize Web Interface, see the Active Directory Web Interface Customization.
