Put a Custom Message on the Change Password Form

It is very frustrating for users, when their passwords are rejected and they have no idea why it happens. Such situations frequently lead to account lockouts and unnecessary delays. In order to avoid this, users need to be informed about password requirements, like minimum length and complexity, at the point of password entry.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to configure Adaxes Active Directory Web Interface to display custom password policy messages to help users choose compliant passwords.

On the computer, where the Web Interface is installed, start the Web Interface Customization tool.

In the Interface type drop-down list, select the Web Interface you want to configure.

Activate the AD Management tab and click Customize Password Change.

To specify a custom message to be displayed when users change their passwords, select the Change Password check box and enter the text of the message in the edit box below.
You can use HTML tags in the message text.

To specify a custom message to be displayed when users reset passwords, select the Reset Password check box and enter the text of the message in the edit box below.
Click OK.

When finished, click Apply.
There is no need to restart IIS to apply the changes, as the changes are applied automatically.
