View Management Activity

To view log records of operations performed by a specific AD user:

  1. Launch the Adaxes Administration Console.

  2. In the Console Tree, expand your service node (the icon represents service nodes).

  3. Expand Active Directory / <domain>.

  4. Right-click the AD user, for which your want to view the management activity.

  5. Point to All Tasks and select Management Activity from the context menu.

  6. In the Management Activity window that opens, select the period for which you want to view log records:

    • To view all records, uncheck Date from and to boxes.
    • To view records for a specific period, check the Date from box, click the Show Calendar icon and select the starting date, then check to box, click the Show Calendar icon and select the ending date.
    • To select a predefined time period, click the Select Time Period button.
  7. Click the Apply Filter button.

    Use the Group by drop-down list to arrange log records by a certain column.

    Use the Columns drop-down menu above the log records list to show/hide columns in this list.
  8. If necessary, filter the displayed log records:

    • To view a specific operation type only, click the button next to the Operation field, and select the operation type you need.
    • To view operations performed on a specific object type only, click the button next to the Target field, and select the object type you need.
    • To view operations performed from a specific host only, specify the host you need in the Host field.

    To remove all filtering parameters, click the button above the list of log records.

  9. To view details of an operation, right-click the operation you need and click Properties.

You can also locate an operation target object in the Console Tree. To do so, right-click the operation you need, point to Locate in Tree, and click Operation Target Object.
