Evaluation and Licensing


Can I evaluate Softerra Adaxes before purchasing it?

Yes, you can evaluate Softerra Adaxes for at least 30 days for free, allowing you to see and use the software before you proceed with a purchase. Softerra provides a fully functional download version of Softerra Adaxes for evaluation, no license key is required. What you'll be using during your evaluation is what you'll be getting when you buy.

The license will be issued for the number of enabled and not expired user accounts in Active Directory. You will have full access to our Technical Support staff during the evaluation period. To get your free trial, please go to the Download page.

Can I get an extension on my Softerra Adaxes evaluation?

Yes, you can get a free extension on your evaluation of Softerra Adaxes for up to 60 days. To extend your evaluation period, please contact our Sales Department.

How is Softerra Adaxes licensed?

Softerra Adaxes license is issued for the number of enabled and not expired user accounts in Active Directory domain(s). If you don't want to manage some accounts, you can disable them by adding to a 'restricted list' and they will not be counted in your license total. Here is the tip on how to check the number of user accounts in your AD domain(s) for licensing purposes and how to disabled unnecessary ones.

Is there an Unlimited License option for Softerra Adaxes?

Yes, there is an Unlimited License option for Softerra Adaxes. With this type of license you will have no restrictions as to the number of enabled user accounts in your AD domain(s) managed by Softerra Adaxes.

Is Softerra Adaxes license perpetual?

Yes, all Softerra Adaxes licenses are perpetual. You buy the license once and keep it forever. There are no additional charges and hidden costs.

How much does Softerra Adaxes cost?

Softerra Adaxes is distributed in packages based on the number of users in your Active Directory domain(s). Current pricing information and package types are always available online at our Licensing&Pricing page. You are also welcome to contact our Sales Department with any questions you might have.

What discounts are available?

All educational, government and non-profit institutions are eligible to purchase Softerra Adaxes licenses as well as Annual Maintenance and Support with a special discount. These discounts are only available for direct purchases from Softerra.

Besides, we provide an additional 5% discount for each year of pre-paid Annual Maintenance and Support (up to 5 years). Please indicate in your quote request to our Sales if you need a quotation for more than 1 year of maintenance.

To purchase Softerra Adaxes at a special discounted price, please send a request to Softerra Sales Department to have our sales representative contact you with all details.

Ordering And Payments


What payment and ordering methods do you accept?

Purchase Orders (PO): Softerra accepts Purchase Orders issued by corporate customers, educational institutions and government agencies.

Please send your order on your company's letterhead by email or fax to our Sales Department and include the following information for us to process your order as soon as possible:

  • Purchase Order number
  • Your company's billing address
  • Product name and the quantity you wish to order
  • License holder's name, company and email address
  • Buyer's name, telephone/fax number, and email address
  • Authorized signature
Softerra Adaxes is electronically delivered software (EDS). Please make sure you have specified the correct shipping method and a valid email address on your PO.

If you include all of the required information, your order will be processed within 24 hours on business days (Monday-Friday).

Wire transfers and checks: We also accept international wire transfers and checks as a valid form of payment.

Contact Softerra Sales Department with the following information to obtain a pro forma invoice:

  • Your company's billing address
  • Product name and the quantity you wish to order
  • End User's information (name, company, email)
  • E-mail address, to which you would like us to send the pro forma invoice

Arrange the bank transfer and make sure that the total dollar amount corresponds to the pro forma invoice issued.

The license key(s) will be generated and sent to you as soon as the funds are credited to our bank account.

Credit Card Online: 2Checkout.com, our authorized retailer, accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover/Novus, Diners Club, and JCB. All derivatives of these brands are also supported. You can safely enter your entire credit card number via the secure server, which encrypts all submitted information.

How can I obtain a written quote or a pro forma invoice?

Please contact Softerra Sales Department with the following information and we will provide you with the written quote or the pro forma invoice within 24 hours:

  • Your company's billing address
  • Product name and the quantity you wish to order
  • End User's information (name, company, email)
  • E-mail address, to which you would like us to send the pro forma invoice or a quote

A written quote for less than 2000 user accounts may also be generated here.

What should I know about payment terms and taxes?

Licensee shall make all payments in full within thirty (30) days from the date of the applicable invoice.

Softerra Adaxes is electronically delivered software (EDS). Please do not include any Sales tax as part of your order, since NO media is provided.

Shipping


How will my license be shipped? And how much will the shipping cost?

Softerra Adaxes is electronically delivered software (EDS) and will be shipped via email at no cost.

To ensure the timely delivery, make sure you have entered the correct terms of shipment and specified a valid "ship to" e-mail address when issuing your PO or placing an order online.

How long will it take to ship my order?

Purchase Orders: If you choose to send us a Purchase Order, you will receive the license key(s) within 24-48 hours after Purchase Order is received.

Wire TransferCheck: If you paid by check/wire transfer, you will get the license key(s) as soon as we receive your check clearance or the funds are credited to our bank account.

Credit Card: Online orders are processed and shipped within 24 hours (Mon-Fri) after you placed the order. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays will be shipped the next business day.

If you have not received your product after two days, please contact us with the information that helps us to identify your order (e.g. 2Checkout.com order ID, Purchase Order number, company name, etc.).

How can I download the software if my link has expired?

Your download link expires in 7 days upon the delivery date. To obtain a new download link, please contact Softerra Sales Department with the information that helps us to identify your order (e.g. 2Checkout.com order ID, Purchase Order number, company name, etc.).

What is your refund policy?

All Softerra-made software is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee. All refunds are deemed appropriate in the following cases:

  • A refund request was received before the license key was delivered to the customer.
  • There is a technical problem with the Software that can't be resolved within a reasonable amount of time upon the customer request
Annual Maintenance and Support is a subscription service and is refunded partially based on the number of days used.

A refund procedure itself is carried out as follows:

  • All refunds for delivered orders must be pre-authorized by Softerra.
  • You should provide us with the information that helps us to identify your order (e.g. 2Checkout.com order ID, Purchase Order number, company name, etc.).
  • If you placed the order with a credit card, a refund would be made to the credit card used for the purchase. Please allow 20 days for the refund to be processed.
  • Upon the refund, you must destroy all copies of our software already shipped and provide us with a signed Certificate of Distruction.

Products not purchased directly from Softerra must be returned to the place of purchase (resellers, etc.).

Softerra Adaxes is distributed using the "try before you buy" method, so customers can make absolutely sure the product is exactly what is needed. All of our clients are encouraged to perform full evaluation of the product prior to purchasing a license. During the evaluation period you are welcome to apply for a technical support by sending an email to support@adaxes.com.

Software Maintenance


Does Softerra offer onsite support/setup for Softerra Adaxes?

Softerra Adaxes users receive a complete package of premium support from installation to implementation and performance advice, all free of charge. What is important, our support engineers respond within 24 hours on business days to get your issue resolved ASAP. So please do not hesitate to contact us with all technical questions you might have - just email them to support@adaxes.com.

Also, we offer pre-paid Annual Maintenance and Support (AMS). This service is optional and includes not only support but also upgrade protection. That is, apart from a personalized management of their issues, the owners of Annual Maintenance and Support receive all major upgrades for Softerra Adaxes at no additional cost during the term of their AMS coverage (365 days).

Does Softerra offer end-user training?

Softerra Adaxes' motto is "to make the complex simple". This means, to make Softerra Adaxes running, you will only have to configure it once in a right way - after that, it will require no further effort.

We also offer a personalized demo on Softerra Adaxes features. This presentation is absolutely free and will help you get to know some specific Adaxes features better. So if you are interested, you are welcome to send a request to our Support Team to have a personal demo arranged for you.

What is Annual Maintenance and Support?

Annual Maintenance and Support (AMS) is a service that entitles you to receive new Softerra Adaxes versions that are released during the term of your AMS coverage (365 days) at no additional cost. Besides, your requests will be handled before any of the same submitted by the Free Start-up Support receiving users or non-registered users, and you are sure to get our response within 24 hours on business days.

What is your Upgrade policy?

All registered users of Softerra Adaxes can upgrade their products to a brand new version. There are two different options for upgrading Softerra Adaxes:

Update

Updates (service releases) include updates, improvements and bug fixes based on the community feedback. Your Softerra Adaxes license key is valid for any current version update and enables you to download the latest application builds free of charge from Softerra Adaxes website.

Upgrade

The upgrade is a major functional enhancement to the software that requires an upgrade fee. Owners of Annual Maintenance and Support (AMS) receive major upgrades at no additional cost during the term of their AMS coverage.

Do you offer customization of Softerra Adaxes for customer's specific needs?

Yes, this kind of paid service is provided for customers who require significant customization of our product for their specific needs.

Can I purchase additional user accounts for the existing license?

If you want to upgrade your existing license to a larger number of user accounts, the cost of the upgrade will be calculated as a difference between the price paid for the package you own and the cost of the package you'd like to upgrade to.

The upgrade to a larger number of user accounts can only be made within the same version of the product and within available packages.
