Hi Team,

I am looking to see if we can enable MFA for self service for specific users, I have enabled MFA for self service using the web configuratior sign on options, but that enables MFA for all the users. So wanted to check if this is a possibility, thank you.

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is no such possibility. MFA can only be enabled for the entire Web interface. As an option, you can create a separate Web interface with MFA enabled and access allowed only for specific users (e.g. members of a group).

Thank you for the swift response.

So I can create a new web interface which mimics self service (if this right would you share me the resource or guide me how) And then have this enabled for MFA and allow only for specific users ?

Hello,

Yes, that is correct. However, it is not possible to create a Web interface that will always be configured similar to another one. You can create a Web interface based on the settings of an existing Web interface and if changes are made to the base Web interface, you will need to either copy them to the other one or

  1. Open Adaxes Web Interface Configurator.
  2. Expand the drop-down menu in the top left corner and click Manage Configurations. image.png
  3. In the dialog box that opens, click Add. image.png
  4. In the Name field, specify the Web interface name that will be used in its URL.
  5. Specify the Web interface display name and the Web interface to copy settings from.
  6. Click OK.
