Hi there,

I am just wondering if it is possible to change the URL slug of the web interface URL's. For example, when browsing to a user, the slug is:

https://adaxes.website.com/Browse/CN=Test User ,OU=ADAXES,DC=domain,DC=local

I rather would not have that information send over the internet/network and use something like a GUID or custom object ID to not expose this kind of information.

Is there a way to achieve this?

Thanks.

Hello,

This behavior was addressed in Adaxes 2021.1. Adaxes Web interface no longer uses sensitive information like distinguished names (DNs) in URLs. Now, globally unique identifiers (GUIDs) are used instead, which means no meaningful information is exposed in transit between client and server. The URLs still show DNs, however, they are not used in the requests themselves. For information on how to check the version of Adaxes you are suing, have a look at the following help article: https://www.adaxes.com/help/CheckServiceVersion.

If you are using Adaxes 2020.1 or older, you need to upgrade to have the feature. You can check upgrade instructions in the corresponding section of our installation guide: https://www.adaxes.com/help/InstallationGuide/#upgrade.
