We just busted our licence limit of 400, but we are only 320 employees. All the extras are either service accounts, external contractors accounts or old user accounts converted into shared mailboxes.

Having recently taken up the Adaxes administration role, I would like to properly understand the impact of adding users to the unmanaged list.

Does it impact the account in any way? Is the only consequence that adaxes can no longer affect that account until it is reinstated on the 'managed accounts' list?

Thank you for the guidance,

Louis

Hello Louis,

Does it impact the account in any way?

No, there are no effects on the account itself or AD in any way. This is just an Adaxes feature for licensing.

Is the only consequence that adaxes can no longer affect that account until it is reinstated on the 'managed accounts' list?

Yes, that is correct.
