Is it possible to create a report that will show the membership rules for all the groups in a particular OU or Business Unit? We are noticing that LDAP queries can overload our DCs and want to have a report handy so that we can view them quickly and determine which groups needs to be changed.

Edit: I know on 2023 LDAP queries are not as prevalent but we can't go to 2023 yet.

Hello Mark,

Unfortunately, there is no such possibility. As an option, you can use a built-in report, Rule-based groups, to see the list of existing groups with rule-based membership. By default, the report is located in container Reports\All Reports\Groups\Membership.

Ok. Is there a powershell way? I was able to get the individual membership rules on a group but I don't know how to combine the group name with the rules into a csv. I was able to out-string it but that is not easy to read for 1200 groups.

Hello Mark,

It is possible using scripts. You can check our SDK for details: https://www.adaxes.com/sdk. However, it will definitely not be an easy thing to do. It is just not designed for such reports.
