Hello,

I am having issues browsing a directory now after the new update.

It is just blank, nothing to find:

HOWEVER, if I browse to a user, then step back using the path along the top, I can see the directory again:

But if I click "Directory" from the left from here, I get back to the page with no results.

Yes, I am sure I am on the FullAdmin Webpage, I do not have any top lovel node restrictions, and the account I am logged in as is a Service Administrator with no restrictions.

This shows I was in the root of my domain structure in the earlier screenshot.

Infact, I notice that. I can't set any top level nodes. There is no option. There was one set on a different interface, and when loading that, it presented an error about not being able to fetch any top level nodes. But I remove that, it fixes login. But Now I can't add again:

To make this even worse, it seems like it has broken All form selections where it would normally bring up a list of users, groups/ect:

If I copy a group, I can do it successfully, it auto populates the OU.

But if I remove it, I can't select anything, not even the originally selected OU. (Yes, I was 100% able to pick and choose the directory before. There is no restrictions on copy command)

And additionally, the forms are broken and ones that use to let me pick a machine, does not show any results to choose from:

Do we understand correctly that you upgraded following the steps from section Upgrade single-server configuration of the installation guide?

Are you able to search for users and groups in the web interface?

For troubleshooting purposes, please, post here or send us (support@adaxes.com) a screenshot of the Multi-server environment dialog. The dialog displays how many Adaxes services you have and what their versions are. For information on how to view it, see https://www.adaxes.com/help/MultiServerEnvironment.

Hello,

That is correct. This is a single server managed environment. I upgraded by backing up the config fully, uninstalled the softerra adaxes server, then installed the new adaxes and restored config. Everything works EXCEPT for browsing objects on the web interface. The adaxes console works fine. I did not come from a version older the. 2017 so that step did not apply.

Yes, I can search for objects in the directory using search.

Hello,

For troubleshooting purposes, please, do the following:

  1. Sign in to the web interface configurator in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browser.

  2. Select the web interface the issue occurs in.

  3. Press F12.

  4. Click Network.

  5. Click All to record all network activity. image.png

  6. In the left pane, click Browsing.

  7. In the Navigation section, enable the Top level nodes checkbox. image.png

  8. In the dialog that opens, click Add.

  9. Take a screenshot and send it to us at support@adaxes.com.

  10. Export data in HAR format. To do so in Google Chrome, click the Export HAR button. image.png In Mozilla Firefox, click the HAR button and then click Save All As HAR. image.png

  11. Save the file and send it to us at support@adaxes.com.

I am having this same issue. We upgraded from 2023.2 to 2025 using the same process as previous upgrades. Backed up config, uninstalled, installed new version, and imported config. Services start correctly, the Administration Console connects to the domain correctly and can view all managed OUs and objects.

Web interface can successfully search using the search bar at the top center of the page.

However, the web interface cannot search for any objects, OUs, or browse the directory when attempting to perform an action such as modify group membership, create user, or run custom commands. This completely cripples Adaxes functionality!
