Dependent values between attributes

Hi,

Is there a way to build a list of allowed values for an attribute based on the value of another attribute?
I explain: I'd like that allowed values of department attribute depend on the value selected in list of allowed values for OU attribute. The same for division attribute, allowed values could depend on department value selected.

Am I clear enough?

I'm not sure this is a common usage, but it would be really usefull for us.

Hello Yoann,

Unfortunately, such functionality is currently unavailable. It is in our TODO list.

As a workaround, we may suggest that you create a Business Rule that will get the value of one of the properties and then check whether the value of another property falls within the range of allowed values. If it doesn't fall within the range of allowed values, the Business Rule will cancel the operation. Take a look at the Validate/Modify User Input Using a Script Tutorial. If you have any difficulties withn the Business Rule, we may help you.

What is the difference between operations: "updating a user" and "creating a user"

Would "updating a user" also be triggered when "creating a user"? So for example, if I set a Business Rule trigger to modify a user when their user account is changed, would ... and I could not find one. If there is a document that covers this let me know.
