We are currently evaluating Adaxes to replace ADUC for our help desk. As a nationwide organization we find on occasion the need to attach ADUC to our west coast domain controllers so changes in group membership and such take effect immediately for those local users. How have Adaxes users handled situations such as this?
Thanks...

Hello,

Adaxes allows you to install multiple instances of Adaxes service that share common configuration. You can install an Adaxes service instance in the AD site where your west coast domain controllers are running. When you need the changes to be replicated immediately, perform an operation via the Adaxes service installed in the site you need.

We have a related issue on a much smaller scale when it comes to unlocking accounts. We are a midsize organization but have sites with corresponding DCs across the US. Users that have locked their account on a West coast DC cannot immediately get their accounts unlocked by our helpdesk as ADAXES is attached to the "hub" site and helpdesk personnel end up having to wait for replication.

Any suggestions as far as a workaround script?

Hello,

I suggest you consider enabling urgent Active Directory replication between the sites.

I am working with Adaxes for the first time. Looking to set up the service account so it can actually make changes to AD not just to register the Adaxes Service. I would rather ... the Adaxes service. What I am unable to do is have adaxes make changes to AD.
