Use Business Units in Activity Scopes

Dear Support,

we try to use a "Custom Business Unit" in a "Property Pattern" for excluding OUs, but it doesn't works.

We created a Business Unit called "Service OUs". The Membership Rules is the following filter set:

(Membership)
Do you know whats wrong in my Business Unit?

There are two issues with using Business Units like this.

First of all, the query that you specified includes only Organizational Units in the Business Unit. In other words, your Business Unit includes only the Organizational Units, the name of which contain Service, but not the users located in the OUs.

Secondly, until an object is actually created in AD, LDAP search filters cannot be applied to it, and thus objects that haven't been created yet cannot be included in Business Units by query.

Can you describe your task in more detail so we could help you find an appropriate workaround for it?

Is it better to grant access via multiple OU and group assignments in the security role or use a business unit?

I have 18 domains managed by Adaxes and have noticed that Admin (full access) t all objects acts normally, but for piecemeal scopes like Service Desk that scopes to individual ... role (including 16 denies) and expect it to grow as we add more domains.

Let's say I have a Business Rule that is fired prior to adding members to a group. Is it possible to get the number of objects being added to that group as ... that tells me that 6 objects will be added or is each added user treated completely independently?

Business unit as activity scope

Hi We have a set of business rules which are used for creating new distribution lists, these rules all have the same activity scope of a number of OUs, but the number of OUs ... when a new OU is created, it's not missed from the activity scope. Thanks Matt
