In the web interface, I would like to display the "Distinguished Name" property but it is not showing it as it would when using ADUC or even in the Adaxes Admin Console. Is there a way I can display the value of the attribute?

Here is how it currently displays: image.png

I would like it to display like this: CN=Mark Smith,OU=Sales,DC=Fabrikam,DC=COM

Hello Mark,

Unfortunately, there is no possibility to display DN syntax property values (e.g. distinguished names) as plain text in the Web Interface forms. As a solution, you can save user DNs to a custom text attribute (e.g. CustomAttributeText1), change the attribute display name and add it to the Web interface form for viewing objects. To save user DNs to the attribute, you can use a Scheduled Task like the following: image.png For information on how to customize property display names, have a look at the following help article: https://www.adaxes.com/help/?HowDoI.ManageActiveDirectory.EditFriendlyNames.html.

For details on configuring Web Interface forms, see https://www.adaxes.com/tutorials_WebInterfaceCustomization_CustomizeFormsForUserCreationAndEditing.htm.

Hello Mark,

We would like to inform you that this behavior will be addressed in the upcoming release of Adaxes. It means that with the update you will not need to use a Scheduled Task to display the full distinguished name of an object on Web Interface forms. Just adding the Distinguished Name property to the forms as you initially did will work fine.
