Dear Adaxes team,

Please confirm if Adaxes 2019.1 support SQL server 2017 for logging database.

Hello!

Please confirm if Adaxes 2019.1 support SQL server 2017 for logging database.

Yes, Adaxes 2019.1 supports logging into the MS SQL 2017 database.

Also suggest Adaxes steps to perform if we are migrating our logging database from SQL server 2012 to SQL server 2017

We recommend the following approach:

  1. Configure your Adaxes service to store log records in the built-in SQLite database. If you have several Adaxes services sharing common configuration, make the changes only on one Adaxes service and wait while the changes are replicated to other services.
  2. Migrate MS SQL database from the 2012 SQL server to the 2017 SQL server.
  3. Enable logging to the migrated MS SQL 2017 database. After enabling logging to the external database all the new records from the local SQLite databases will be transferred to the MS SQL database.
