Older Adaxes clients are incompatible with Adaxes service 2023

Adaxes clients (i.e. Web interface, Administration console) of previous versions cannot connect to Adaxes service version 2023. When upgrading Adaxes, make sure to upgrade all Adaxes components if you have them installed on different servers.

Cause

Web interface configuration is stored in a different format in the new version.

What are the cons of increasing the script execution timeouts on the adaxes service?

Other than potentially infinite loops and scripts querying large number or resources, what are the downsides? We have a custom command that boots up a vm during execution, ... want to make sure there is nother else to consider before increasing the timeout.

What Active Directory rights are needed for the Adaxes service user?

We originally installed Adaxes and assigned the Adaxes Service user to the Domain Admins group. We are now locking down that group and have removed the Adaxes Serivce from ... to do things. What rights does Adaxes Service need in order to administer users?

I have a member of our Service Desk who can't install the newest version of the client (2023.3).

We've uninstalled the previous version via the "add/Remove Programs" feature in Windows 10, but we still get an error saying that another version of the client is still installed and won't allow us to run the .MSI installer. How can we get around this?
