How do you update the domain suffix list for an on-premises AD forest in Adaxes?

This note is found in the documentation on how to configure allowed domains in Adaxes 2023.

Allowed domain names can only be selected from the alternative UPN suffixes for on-premises AD domains and verified custom domain names for Azure AD domains.

We have already added the new domain to the alternate suffix list in on-premises AD, but Adaxes is not showing the new value. Is a restart of the Adaxes service required to pick up the change, or is there another way to trigger the update?

Hello,

Yes, it is required to restart Softerra Adaxes Service after updating the list of allowed suffixes for your on-premises AD domain.

On the built in Create User, how can I get the ability for the user to choose a different domain in the username field?

Using this built in function: There is no option to change the domain on the user account, however this is not the domain we use for UPN. However after creating a user, you can change it but trying to avoid going back into the object.

Hi, I want to change the default UPN suffix for user creation. We only have a single UPN suffix we use at our organization however when we create a user using the web ... We only ever want to use the @mycompany.com so a list of options isn't requried.

In order to add a managed domain does it have to be trusted by the primary domain adaxes is installed an running in? I have set up a domain for testing adaxes and it ... I have set my host file to point the untrusted domain to it's primary Domain Controller.
