I'm trying to modify mailbox settings to add additional email addresses to a user after creation. This is a hybrid on-prem and Exchange Online with E5 licenses. Everything works up to the point of trying to modify the mailbox settings. If fails with "The operation coudn't be performed because object (AD User) couldn't be found on (Domain Controller)." I'm at a loss as to why this is happening. We have plenty of E5 licenses available and they are being applied. I can move the user to a different OU during the process so I know the user exists. Any ideas? image.png

More Info: The user is created in AD. The user shows up in Adaxes Web Interface. The user is in our On-Prem Exchange. The user is in M365 and has a mailbox. However, Adaxes cannot look at the user's Exchange properties. image.png

Hello Michael,

For troubleshooting purposes, please, enable tracing of requests sent to Exchange servers, reproduce the issue and send us (support@adaxes.com) the log file. For information on how to enable the tracing, have a look at the following help article: https://www.adaxes.com/help/EnableExchangeRequestLogging.

Also, please, do the following for the user the issue occurs for:

  1. Launch Adaxes Administration console.
  2. In the Console Tree, expand your service node.
  3. Navigate to and right-click the user.
  4. In the context menu, navigate to All Tasks and then click Export. image.png
  5. In the dialog box that opens, select LDIF and click Next.
  6. On the Properties to Export step, clear the Do not export System-Only properties checkbox.
  7. Select the Export Adaxes virtual properties checkbox. image.png
  8. Click Export.
  9. Send the export file to us.

Thank you so much for the assistance. The issue was that I had not assigned the Azure App Global Administrator. I mistakenly gave the Adaxes Service Account Global Administrator. Everything works as expected. I'm actually glad that this occured as it demonstrated the excellent responses from Adaxes Support. I'm actually going into a meeting right now to demonstrate the product for our CIO. I've asked two questions so far on the Adaxes Q&A and I am very pleased with the responses.
