Security group owner question

Hi all,

I wanted to ask community if you are experiencing same behavior: Add a primary group owner to a security group in ADAXES console. Make sure “Can update membership using native tools” is UNCHECKED. Now, in Active Directory User and Computers console, the primary owner should be added right way. However, can you please check if “Manager can update membership list” is checked? In my case it is CHECKED for some reason.

Hello,

We were not able to reproduce the behavior. Most probably, it is somehow related to specific settings of your environment.

Is there a way to get approval from the group owner when they attempt to add themselves or others to a group in Adaxes?

I would like users to use Adaxes to add themselves or others to a group, but instead of it just working, it has to go thru an approval process and be approved by the group owner before they are added. Thanks!

Emailing Group Owner/Manager

I'm attempting to implement a system which will allow us "expire" groups after a certain amount of time. I'm using a custom attribute to track a group's expiration ... to email all members of that other group. Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.

Workflow approval when group owner is a group

I've noticed the following behavior: 1. I have a group (say "group1"). The "owner" (managedby) is set to another group (distribution group) (say "group2"). 2. I ... send a message to "group2" outside of ADAxes, it works fine. Is this expected behavior? Thanks

Can we bulk enroll users with a phone number instead of a security question?

We would like to auto enroll our entire company into Adaxes for self service but do not want to use the question/answer format but instead their phone numbers (provided by HR department). Is this possible? Best, Evangelos
