Hi,

Trying to manage an O365 tenant and having issues getting the right pre-req's installed:-

Try to install required version of the Azure CmdLets (8362.1) - says I need to install MS Online Service Sign-in Assistant
Install this (version 7.250.4556.0), but Azure CmdLts installer still says its missing.

I can install a later version of the CmdLets - but Adaxes doesn't like that version, so I assume I need a specific version of MSOnline but not sure which one it is?

Thanks

Hello,

Have a look at the following help article: http://www.adaxes.com/help/?HowDoI.Perf ... rO365.html.

Thanks - I've seen that, but I'm still having problems.

I download the 8362.1 version as directed - that's OK.

I then follow the link but there is no specific 'Install the Azure AD Module' section - the closest is a link to a download, which I do, but this is ultimately a later version of the above and if I use it I get errors in Adaxes. I can search for and find a specific MSO installer, which I install, but when I then try to install the 8362.1 msi I downloaded in Step 1 it still says MSO is missing.

Can you confirm that 1) I need to install a specific MSOnline installer, 2) the version, and then 3) that I need to install the Azure CmdLets v8362.1?

Thanks

Note that after trying lots of combinations I have got MSOnline an Azure CmsLets to both install, but when I attempt to access the O365 features in Adaxes I'm getting a "could not load file or assembly" error.

I can manually import MSOnline into a PS session when on the server.

Thanks

Hello,

To fix the issue, you need to do the following:

  1. Download the Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant for IT Professionals RTW here and install it.
Note: Make sure you download from this page. It is odd, but Microsoft has 2 versions of the assistant with exactly the same name, but only this installation works with Office 365 cmdlets...
  2. Download version 8362.1 of the Microsoft Azure Active Directory PowerShell Module here and install it.
  3. Important: Restart Softerra Adaxes Service.

Perfect, many thanks.

Can you please tell me how you did the manual transfer?

Shamash - I think you may have misunderstood, when I said "I can manually import MSOnline into a PS session when on the server." that was simply that I could start a PS session and successfully load the MSOnline module i.e. Import-Module MSOnline.

Could you please make this information sticky and/or add to the howto for adding Office 365:
