Hi team,

I am facing currently an issue with new user/employee creation.

I have this simple form image.png image.png image.png image.png

And getting this error each time image.png image.png

I already disabled all business rules and even property patterns - but still the same issue.

What do I miss or oversee here ...?

Hello,

The error means that a value specified for one of the properties is incorrect. With the amount of blurring, we can only suppose that it is the Please select the final OU property, but there can be something else. For troubleshooting purposes, please, send us (support@adaxes.com) a full operation description without covering anything. To get it, select Create in the log record details, press Ctrl+A and then copy the text. image.png

I found the issue - I checked the browser console/network trace and found this detail: image.png

I added then Full Name to property pattern and now creation is working well image.png

The error message was kind of confusing in this scenario, as a required value for object creation was missing.

Hello,

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about the error as it comes directly from Active Directory. It is not related to Adaxes.

Hi,

you could change the error message and add a check of requiered fields for object creation and mark the one as mandantory or at least list which one is missing.

Hello,

As we mentioned in the previous post, we cannot do that. AD returns the error just like that and we have no possibility to check what properties are missing or have incorrect values. For the required properties you should use Adaxes property patterns. If you want to add some property validations, you can use PowerShell scripts in a business rule triggering Before creating a user: https://www.adaxes.com/help/ValidateModifyUserInputWithScript.
