We currently convert user mailboxes to shared mailboxes during deprovisioning process but if the user mailbox was already a shared mailbox then the script throws an error because the mailbox cannot be converted to a shared bailbox.

How can I add a condition to the script to avoid the error? Also I would like to add a custom command to convert the user mailbox that is already a shared mailbox back to a user mailbox.

Here is the actions of the current deprovision command: image.png

Thanks!

Hello Carlos,

We currently convert user mailboxes to shared mailboxes during deprovisioning process but if the user mailbox was already a shared mailbox then the script throws an error because the mailbox cannot be converted to a shared bailbox.

According to the provided screenshot, you are using the Convert mailbox built-in action. The action should not error out if it is configured to convert the user mailbox to a shared one and the user already has a shared mailbox. For troubleshooting purposes, please, provide us with the following:

  • A screenshot of the Multi-server environment dialog. The dialog displays how many Adaxes services you have and what their versions are. For information on how to view it, see https://www.adaxes.com/help/MultiServerEnvironment.
  • A screenshot of the error you are facing.

You can post screenshots here or send us at support@adaxes.com.

Also I would like to add a custom command to convert the user mailbox that is already a shared mailbox back to a user mailbox.

You can use the Convert mailbox action configured to convert the user mailbox to a regular one. image.png

Hello Carlos,

Sorry for the confusion, but the provided screenshot does not contain the Multi-server environment dialog or an error. Please, follow the instructions in the provided help article to view the Multi-server environment dialog. Additionally, for troubleshooting purposes, we need a screenshot of the error you are facing when the Convert mailbox of the user into shared mailbox action is executed on an account that already has a shared mailbox.
