Keep On-Prem Security Groups Members synced with M365 Groups

Hi all

Is there a simple with to keep members of a on-prem security group in sync with an M365 Group?

For example, we have a group called "ORG_TEAM_Engineers" that uses dynamic rules from adaxes. In M365, we have a M365 Group with E-Mail that should always have the same members as the on-prem group.

However, i saw that it is not possible to use dynamic rules in Adaxes for M365 Groups. And M365 dynamic rules do not support on-prem security groups, only cloud-only groups.

Hello,

It is possible to make any group rule-based in Adaxes including cloud only ones. There are no such restrictions. To make a cloud group rule-based, you need to first register your Microsoft Entra domain in Adaxes. For details on how to register domains, have a look at the following help article: https://www.adaxes.com/help/RegisterUnregisterManagedDomain. On step 5, select Cloud domain. Once done, you will see the group in Adaxes and will be able to make it rule-based just like the on-premises AD ones.
