Hi, I have a business rule set up when creating a user to assign a 365 license which then in turn creates an exchange online mailbox. We have several UPN/Email domains based depending on department. This process works fine for what we might call our default UPN/domain. On our secondary domains, despite the user being created with matching UPN and email, after the user is licensed, something appears to be changing the email address back to the default domain (the UPN stays unchanged).

When I create a user from the 365 admin panel, the behaviour is correct, so it would seem like its possibly Adaxes doing it. Do you have any ideas about how I might have misconfigured it?

Cheers, Allister

Hello Allister,

There is nothing in Adaxes itself that might do such a thing unless specifically configured. Do we understand that the process in Adaxes automatically enables a remote mailbox as well? If that is correct, on-premises Exchange can update the Email property with the primary SMTP address and that will get synchronized to Microsoft Entra. The behavior is by design in Exchange and is not related to Adaxes. To work around that, update your business rule as follows: image.png

Hi all, I've created a 'View User' command via the Web Interface Configurator. I don't want users to be able to make any changes, so I've created a Custom ... there any way to remove this, short of removing the entire Exchange section itself? Thanks, David

I have a business rule to create a user in our AD, and then have it create a new O365 account and assign it a license. How can I have it create a temporary password that I specify during that business rule?
