Receive the following error when trying to access our Exchange properties.

"Could not load file or assembly 'System.Management.Automation, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

This has worked up until recently, and I'm not sure where to begin searching for a solution.

Regards.

Could you post here or send us (support[at]adaxes.com) a screenshot of what you have in folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Management.Automation on the computer where Adaxes service is installed?

Hello,

Thank you for the provided details. Most probably, the issue occurs because the account whose credentials are used to run Softerra Adaxes Service has no read permissions on folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_MSIL\System.Management.Automation. To check the account:

  1. Open the Windows Services panel.
  2. Right-click Softerra Adaxes Service and click Properties in the context menu.
  3. Activate the Log On tab.
  4. The username of the account used to run the service will be displayed below.

Thank you, after some review, a reboot was required on the server. I appreciate the information and will keep it in mind if we every run into this issue again.

I am using an account with global admin permissions to o365, so it does not appear to be that as the issue. Adaxes V.2017.2 Trace logs showing the following [11/02/2022 11:24:58] ... at #2e.#Vh.#h8() at #eb.#Wb.#j8() at #2e.#Uh.Execute(#ib command) Any ideas?

Hi, In our system we a hybrid domain with Office365, so on prem AD accounts, O365 mailboxes with an OnPrem exchange for some legacy mailboxes. We have a number of AD accounts ... it's an option in a newer version that's absolutely fine as well. Thanks Gary
