Hi again
Adaxes aleardy propose to submit action to requestor manager. I would find very usefull to submit action to object manager : if a want to modify a user object, the approval would be sent to user's manager.
Does it make sense ?

Thanks

Yesterday we released Adaxes 2011.2 that includes the following new options for the approval-based workflow:

  • Manager of the requestor
The manager of the user who initiated the operation can approve or deny this operation. The manager is specified via the Manager property of AD user accounts.

  • Owner of the requestor's OU
The owner of the Organizational Unit (OU) containing the account of the user who initiated the operation can approve or deny this operation. The OU owner is specified via the Managed By property of OU objects.

  • Manager of the target object
The manager of the AD object on which the operation is performed can approve or deny this operation. The manager is specified via the Manager property of AD objects.

  • Owner of the target object
The owner of the AD object on which the operation is performed can approve or deny this operation. The owner is specified via the Managed By property of AD objects.

  • Owner of the target object's OU
The owner of the Organizational Unit (OU) containing the AD object on which the operation is performed can approve or deny this operation. The OU owner is specified via the Managed By property of OU objects.

Adaxes seems to want to use the Manager field to specify who gets approval confirmation emails. What do you do about a user without a manager, such as the CEO? Let's assume they're not tech saavy, and the IT department needs to confirm their requests.

Hello Just a little suggestion. I would find it useful, if the selection was split up in: - Add members - Remove members and showing the selected button(s) on the web ... this would not be satisfying for the users to have access to the button ;) - Cheers
