Hi
I was wondering if disabling a user account in Adaxes, counts towards the license quota?

If you have, say 2000 users, and have created 2000 accounts, but some of those account have never been used or logged in, according to the reports, can you disable the accounts in order to create a new one or do you actually have to delete an account to free up a license?

Thanks for your help

Okay I can answer my own question, just had to look further than my nose

How is Softerra Adaxes licensed?

Softerra Adaxes license is issued for the number of enabled and not expired user accounts in Active Directory domain(s). If you don't want to manage some accounts, you can disable them by adding to a 'restricted list' and they will not be counted in your license total. Here is the tip on how to check the number of user accounts in your AD domain(s) for licensing purposes and how to disabled unnecessary ones.

Hello Duncan,

By the way, instead of disabling users you can use Unmanaged Accounts. Such accounts are not shown anywhere in Adaxes and are not included in the license count. For details, see Add Users to the Unmanaged Account List.
