We followed the upgrade instructions here: Adaxes Installation Guide We upgraded from 2023.2 to 2025.1 in a Single Server Configuration. -Backed up our configuration using the backup tool provided in the Backu up/restore configuration guide. -Unisntalled the old version of Adaxes. In our case, it was 2023.2 -Installed 2025.1 -Restored the configuration

Thats as far as we get before the Softerra Adaxes service on the server just stops. We are able to start it again but then after a few minutes, it stops again and the application is no longer usable; we have to revert to our snapshot with 2023.2 on it. I have some error logs of the server with 2025.2 on it that we saved before having to revert back that I can provide.

For troubleshooting purposes, please, send us (support@adaxes.com) a copy of the Adaxes Event Log in EVTX format. For information on how to view the log, have a look at the following help article: https://www.adaxes.com/help/ServiceEventLog.

FYI that we are observing this also in our multi-server deployment. A fresh install without using a shared configuration works (installation completes) so the error appears to be related to restoring the configuration.

If helpful for troubleshooting, we are upgrading from the latest version of 2023.2 (3.16.23410.0).

Unfortunately, it was a known issue in Adaxes 2025.1. We released an update including the corresponding fix. You can download it here.

Hi, after upgrading to 2025.1 technicians in our helpdesk role is missing the 'Add' button on the 'Member Of' section of the User screen. They have full write ... group membership from the Group screen. Administrator users are still able to see the button.
