Hello,

I have a request that is to give an option to run a task that will check a user's litigation hold status in Exchange Online and report back the details for a single or multiple users.

How would I create a script that would connect to Exchange Online, and check the litigationhold status for a group of selected users, and return the hold status properties such as hold date and notes?

Thank you.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we do not have a script for checking the feature directly in Exchange Online. However, the Litigation Hold script from the following article checks the feature via Adaxes resources: https://scripts.adaxes.com/check-whether-mailbox-feature-is-enabled. The script works just fine for mailboxes located in Exchange Online that can be managed in Adaxes. However, it only applies to the mailbox of the target object.

No edit button is available within Adaxes for these accounts. The service account has 'Mail Recipients' and 'MailRecipientCreation' permissions assigned. What additional configuration or permissions might be needed?
