I'd like to be able to have my default search view of a particular URL I created go from this:

To this:

So that it already starts out with an alphabetical list. Right now it defaults to a department simple search which isn't helpful.

Hello,

We are not sure on what you are trying to achieve. Can you give a bit more details of your task?

In particular, could you explain this part:

default search view of a particular URL I created

So, you created a link to Adaxes Web interface that goes directly to search, and you would like the link to go to Alphabetical search instead of the simple search. Is that correct or are we missing something?

Yes that is basically correct. I created a new Adaxes web portal called Directory that essentially replaces our company's outdated phone search portal.

I want to have the default page display result data initially without the user having to enter anything. In other words, I'd like it if the default page started displaying the A alphabetical list first. Should the user wish to refine the search by simple or choosing a different letter of the alphabet, that would be the first step the user would take.

Hello,

Currently, you cannot make alphabetical search the default search page in Adaxes.

The only thing you can do is to publish the link to the search directory by adding SearchAlphabetical.aspx at the end. In this case, when users sign in to the web interface, they will be redirected directly to the alphabetical search.

So, for example, if you installed Adaxes Web Interface on computer named computer.domain.com, and you chose to use the Self-Service Web interface to use as the search directory, the URL will be:

http://computer.domain.com/AdaxesSelfService/SearchAlphabetical.aspx

Is there a way to configure the module "Member of" in a "View user"-action as purely read only? As it stands now we are able to navigate to a seperate viewing page ... needs write-access to AD, we can't specify purely read-rights via the security role either.

Shared mailboxes are treated as standard users, however they really should have a separate view. I would like to request that a new view is made avaiilable for Shared ... office location, data from HR systems, windows profile, etc are not really relevant.
