Upgrading minor version

We are running version 2018.1 - 3.9.15526.0 - and I want to upgrade the version to 3.9.15631.0

Is the correct procedure still to backup the configuration, uninstall Adaxes, install the new version, and then restore the config?

Or is it possible to install the new version directly, and to a "soft" upgrade?

Yes.

There is no such possibility.

Upgrading Adaxes

Is it OK to do a side by side upgrade of Adaxes? I have read the documentation on how to upgrade Adaxes but I was hoping to make the change with as little end user ... DNS to the new server and remove the original server. Is there any issues with this method?

I have a member of our Service Desk who can't install the newest version of the client (2023.3).

We've uninstalled the previous version via the "add/Remove Programs" feature in Windows 10, but we still get an error saying that another version of the client is still installed and won't allow us to run the .MSI installer. How can we get around this?
