Customize email notifications for approval requests

To customize the email notifications sent to approvers and the operation initiator when a request is submitted, approved, denied, cancelled, and when the operation failed after approval:

  1. Launch Adaxes Administration console.

    • On the computer where Adaxes Administration console is installed, open Windows Start menu.

    • Click Adaxes Administration Console.

  2. In the Console Tree, expand the Adaxes service node (the icon represents service nodes).

  3. Expand Configuration.

  4. Right-click Approval Requests and then click Properties in the context menu.

  5. Activate the Email Notifications tab.

  6. Activate the Submitted, Approved, Denied, Cancelled, or Failed tab to customize the corresponding template.

    • You can use value references in the templates (e.g. %name%). Value references will be replaced with corresponding property values of the notification recipient.

    • You can only customize the subject, header, and footer of the notifications. The body will contain automatically generated information about the operation submitted for approval and cannot be changed.

    To completely disable email notifications when an approval request is submitted, approved, denied, cancelled, or the underlying operation has failed, clear the Enabled checkbox on the corresponding tab.
