Register Active Directory domains

Adaxes allows you to manage multiple Active Directory domains even if they belong to different forests and have no trust relationships between them. All operations within a domain are performed via a service account that must have appropriate rights.

Initially, Adaxes manages only the AD domain where the Adaxes service account is located. By default, the Adaxes service account is used to perform all operations within the domain. To use a different account for operations in the domain, provide the credentials of that account.
  • Launch Adaxes Administration Console, expand your Adaxes service and then expand Active Directory.

  • Right-click the domain and select Provide Logon Information.

To register an Active Directory domain:

  1. Launch Adaxes Administration Console, right-click your Adaxes service, point to New and click Managed Domain. The Register Managed Domain wizard will open.

  2. Type the name of the Active Directory domain you want to register.

    Click Next.

  3. On the Account step, specify credentials of a service account that will be used by Adaxes to perform all operations within the domain.

When done, click Next and follow the instructions in the wizard to complete the domain registration.

Repeat the above steps to register other AD domains you want to manage with Adaxes.
